About Chris Poole CBE
Isn’t it interesting how life turns out, but more importantly, how the experiences you gain throughout your life, shape and prepare you for what comes next.

Chris Poole spent nearly 40 years as a professional organiser with the Conservative Party, starting as a constituency agent and rising to Secretary and Director of the whole Party organisation. This experience taught him not only how to plan and prepare every event in detail, but also to learn how to motivate, and get the best out of people. Basically, he learned that it is attention to detail that can make or break an event, and you get more response and respect from people if you ask them, not tell them.

This vast experience is the perfect background for his role as a Toastmaster, and the list of testimonials supports this.

He has worked closely with many people including Baroness Thatcher, Sir John Major, Jim Davidson, Tony Hadley, Rick Wakeman and Marco Pierre White, as well as toastmastering the wedding of Jessica Taylor and Kevin Pietersen.

Chris has been a trainer in public speaking and for a number of years was a judge in the Rotary “Youth Speaks” competition.  He has also lectured on “Planning and Organisation” at home and abroad.

He has organised conferences for over 12,000 people and once addressed an audience of over 100,000 in Bulgaria.
